Restore Student Fellow, Majid Al-Khalil, and trustee, Jonathon Pleat attended the European Burns Association Conference in Helsinki from the 4th to the 7th of September to present a project which looked at the effect of drug interactions on burns patients. Such interactions are often unrecognised and can lead to serious harm. Majid presented the novel findings of this project, which was devised by Restore, to the international audience. There was extensive discussion about the appreciation of the drugs commonly involved and the typical patterns of symptoms. Overall, it was highly commended and is another example of our work to improve outcome along all parts of the patient journey.
